For years, anxiety was a constant companion, a shadow lurking in the corners of my mind. But then, like a guiding light, I discovered yoga. It wasn't just about the physical postures; it was a gateway to the present moment, a sanctuary where I could breathe freely and connect with myself on a deeper level.


As I dived deeper into my practice, I felt the tendrils of anxiety loosening their grip. Hatha and Vinyasa became my allies, igniting the fire within and guiding me through breath work that felt like a dance with the universe. Power yoga with Pilates added a dynamic edge, sculpting not just my body but also my mind. Yoga became more than just a routine; it became a lifestyle. It led me to confront the root causes of my anxiety, to embrace mindfulness, and to nurture myself in body, mind, and spirit. It's a journey of self-discovery, self-care, and self-love.


And speaking of journeys, mine took a significant turn when I embarked on a 200-hour yoga teacher training. This immersive experience allowed me to dive deeper into the history and philosophy of yoga, shaping me into a vessel of knowledge and compassion.


Ok if you are looking to dive into yoga, and take control of your anxiety, i highly recommend making your space a place you want to visit. Here are some of  my must-haves for the ultimate yoga experience.


Comfort is key, so my clothing needs to be as soft and flexible as my practice. A thick, non-slip mat is essential for those sweaty sessions, while ankle and wrist weights add an extra challenge. A yoga towel keeps me grounded, and a stretch strap helps me deepen my postures.


And let's not forget about meditation – that sacred space where the mind finds solace. My Tibetan singing bowl machine, set on a timer, transports me to a realm of tranquility. Props like a sitting pillow, bolster, and yoga blocks support me in finding stillness within.
